Brayman & Oberg Complete First Joint Annual Food Drive

SAXONBURG, PA – January 5, 2018 – Brayman Construction Corporation and Oberg Industries came together this year in a joint effort to sponsor their first annual holiday food drive to benefit needy families in the Lower Valley/Springdale area.  Scott Mason of Oberg and his wife, Heather Mason from Brayman, set up collection boxes at varying locations within each company and rallied co-workers to donate non-perishable food items to help alleviate hunger during the holiday season.

The Mason’s not only spearheaded the collection of items, they also donated their time at the local food bank to help pack boxes for distribution. “This particular food bank has always held a special place in my heart as I know that a great percentage of the donations go to single moms and their children, not only during the holiday season, but year round”, said Heather Mason.  “My family also enjoys competing to seeing how fast they can fill all the boxes and tries to beat their prior years’ packing time.”

Food drives are critical to local food banks and their ability to provide for the individuals and families they serve.  Encouraging both the Brayman and Oberg teams to donate during the holidays helped us make a positive difference in the lives of those in need within our communities and we are pleased to have jointly contributed to this effort.
