Scope of Project:
The Johnstown Intermodal Transportation Center contains six floors of retail and parking space that includes a conference center, shopping areas, and attached 600 space parking hub.
Brayman was responsible for the installation of forty-eight drilled caissons for the foundation construction of this new facility. The caissons for this project range in diameters between 42” and 78” with a combined total footage of 1,525 lineal feet.
The work included all cassion excavation, the use of temporary steel casing/caisson dewatering, furnished and placed caisson concrete using the free fall method of placement, and the installation of full length reinforcing steel. |
