Scope of Project:

This project consisted of the construction of one cantilever wall, two permanent tieback walls and one soil/rock nail wall with eight inch shotcrete facing. These new walls were a prerequisite for the installation of an additional rail line along Conrail’s Monongahela Line. The complete project consisted of over 30,000 square feet of cast-in place concrete walls. The soil/rock nail and shotcrete wall was over 12,000 square feet with nails as long as 60 feet.
