Brayman was contracted by the Black & Veatch Corporation to construct a new barge unloading and mooring facility as part of the necessary flue-gas desulfurization (FGD) upgrades at the existing Cardinal Power Station located in Brilliant, OH.
The scope of work for this project consisted of constructing17 new river cells - 12, 20 ft diameter; 2, 30 ft diameter; and 3, 40-ft diameter sheet pile cells.
The facility is part of the power station environmental compliance Flue Gas Desulphurization (FGD) project on the Ohio River, just south of Stuebenville, OH. In addition to the cell construction, Brayman’s contract included minor dredging, scour protection, access walkways, reinforced concrete cell caps, and e-crane platforms.
