Multi-Phase Project: Phase

Culmerville Truss

Brayman was contracted by PennDOT District 11-0 for replacement of the Culmerville Truss Bridge spanning the Canadian National Railway located in Allegheny County, PA.  The new 130-feet long two-lane bridge consisted of a single-span steel beam five-girder structure with new abutments supported by drilled caissons and rock anchors.   The steep hillsides and limited access at the ends of the bridge provided many challenges during construction.
