Brayman Construction recently welcomed Webelos from Cub Scout Packs 557 in Sarver, Pack 551 in Hyde Park, Pack 655 in Kittanning and Pack 553 in Leechburg to its headquarters in Saxonburg for a Day of Learning.

The fourth and fifth grade boys learned about bridge construction and the importance of safety through hands-on demonstrations, including how to properly fasten a safety harness and how to conduct a site survey using real survey equipment. In addition to hands-on demonstrations, Chris Schriner, Caisson Group Manager and Civil Engineer, gave a presentation that illustrated the process and roles involved in constructing the new Hulton Bridge in Oakmont, PA.

Brayman supports the educational development of youth in this region and the Boy Scouts of America’s mission to strengthen family relationships, teach healthy living skills, foster self esteem and develop personal and community responsibility. Brayman recently made a significant donation to the Boy Scouts of America Moraine Trails Council. The Moraine Trails Council serves the youth and families of Butler, Lawrence, Armstrong and northern Westmoreland Counties.
