This project exemplified Brayman’s ability to offer “one stop shopping” for construction services by featuring several capabilities including high capacity dam anchors, temporary shoring, and driven piling. The dam anchors included the drilling and installation of 25-each 54-strand anchors totaling 2,182-feet. Artesian conditions of consisting of up to 65-feet of hydrostatic head had to be met and overcame on the spillway. The temporary shoring entailed in-house design and installation of a wall with an exposed height of 40-feet and consisting of driven H-Pile, sheet piling, wood lagging, with 3-rows of tiebacks. Rounding out the scope of work, 124-ea H-Pile totaling 5,600-feet were driven in the existing stream bed for a new training wall.
