Multi-Phase Project: Phase

Walmart Retaining Wall - #5112.00 Phase IVA

Brayman’s scope of work required installation of an 800-foot, tieback-anchored soldier beam and lagging wall, comprised of 99-each soldier beams; 91-each, 7-strand and 8-strand Class I corrosion protected anchors; and 15,000-SF of mixed 4-inch thick hardwood lagging. Exposed wall height ranges from 17-feet to 23-feet. By utilizing multiple drill rigs and anchor crews, our team completed the project two weeks ahead of schedule and remained under budget. Prior to Brayman’s arrival on this job site, a landslide dumped 500,000-CY of earth onto SR 65 and over three sets of Norfolk Southern railway tracks. Brayman constructed the anchored wall to retain displaced and undisplaced colluvial soils and displaced landslide materials as the site was excavated to a final excavation sub-grade elevation by the general contractor.
